It is not new to everybody to hear a celebrity suffering from eating disorder. Most celebrities do have eating disorders due to their uncontrollable desire to look not just good but perfect to the eyes of their fans. Though most people may think that these eating disorders can be easily treated since celebrities have resources to seek for the best possible treatment, not all famous celebrities have surpassed these disorders easily. Most common celebrities’ eating disorders include the following:

  • Anorexia – One of the most common celebrities eating disorders is anorexia. A lot of celebrities, mostly female artists suffer from this type of eating disorder. Anorexia nervosa, most commonly known to us as anorexia is a type of eating problem that can be defined as the fear of eating as it can cause weight gain.

Most anorexic people result to eat a very small amount of food in a day and in some extreme cases, people tend to starve themselves to death. Some celebrities known to have suffered from anorexia include Nicole Richie, Ashlee Simpson, Calista Flockhart and Karen Carpenter.

  • Bulimia – Most common celebrities’ eating disorders also include bulimia nervosa which we often called bulimia. Bulimia is an eating disorder characterized by limiting of food intake and when a person with bulimia has eaten something he or she will feel depress about it resulting him to vomit or to over exercise.

Bulimia is common among teens and most celebrities have this kind of eating disorder. Some famous celebrities who suffered from Bulimia include Barbara Niven and Geri Halliwell of Spice Girls.

  • Celebrities eating disorders can also be acquired by normal people like you especially if you lack knowledge on what these disorders are all about and how you can have it. Celebrities are prone to having eating disorders because they have the highest desire to look best at all times.

    In addition to this, they do believe that having that skinny body is too important that they tend to forget about achieving or maintaining it the right way. Dreaming to have a perfectly fit body is not bad at all. But you have to make sure to do things appropriately to achieve it so you won’t end up hurting yourself in the process.
