Cellulite Reduction Treatments- Non-Invasive Cellulite Reduction Treatments

By: Melissa Snyte

Contrary to what many believe, cellulite has more to do with hormones, skin elasticity and fat cells than a person’s weight. If you are an observant person, you may notice that even thin women are victims of cottage cheese thighs and dimpled buttocks too. You may also notice that you do not see very many men with cellulite. This is because the male hormone, testosterone, helps protect them from the condition, as well as the difference in the way the males body fat is distributed when compared to a female. No matter what cause your cellulite, there are several options in cellulite reduction treatments.

Endermologie is an FDA approved cellulite reduction treatment. It was developed over ten years ago in France. It is a non-invasive cellulite reduction treatment that uses deep massage along with suction to promote circulation and redistribution of fat on the body. It does take several treatments to see full results and it can be costly. There are also a couple of side effects associated with this cellulite reduction treatment, such as bruising soreness of the treated area. Mesotherapy is another option in cellulite reduction therapy. It consists of a series of injects under the skin that consist of a combination of vitamins, amino acids and minerals to burn the fatty deposits that cause cellulite.

Velasmooth is another non-invasive option in cellulite reduction treatments. The method uses infrared light, bio polar radio frequency, negative pressure and tissue manipulation to smooth the lumpiness of cellulite. Since this cellulite reduction methods uses heat and energy, it also increases metabolism and burns fat. There are other Cellulite Reduction Treatments that are less expensive and simpler, such as cellulite reduction creams, toning shoes and cellulite reducing garments. The effectiveness of these vary and since people bodies are different the results vary widely.

There are a few myths about cellulite reduction treatments. Some people expect creams to do more for reducing cellulite than they are able, as creams can only penetrate the top layer of skin and can only give a person minimal results. Another myth is that liposuction eliminates cellulite and this is not true. There is no cellulite reduction treatment that can permanently remove cellulite from the body. Current studies report that liposuction not only does nothing to treat cellulite, but that it may actually worsen the condition because the procedure stretches the superficial fat cells that are at the root of cellulite .
