Coffee Can Cure Your Cellulite

By: Melissa Snyte

Did you know that? Drinking coffee is actually not advised for cellulite affected people. Yet, coffee powder or coffee ground can do wonders when you use them for treating cellulite conditions. Isn’t it wonderful to see that dimpling of yours vanish while you are treating yourself at home and spending almost nothing?

Common Anti-Cellulite Treatment Methods

You will find a large number of anti-cellulite treatment methods such as surgery, cellulite creams, Cellulite wraps and mechanical suction devices are conveniently obtainable in the market to help you get rid of your cellulite problem. While some of these methods are rather costly, you can also avail of many low-cost options available from time to time. The most desirable option, nonetheless, is the home-remedy option that is awfully convenient and cost efficient.

You will be surprised to know how large is the list of possible home-remedies that also can bring you immense relief from cellulite conditions. These home-remedy options may or may not cure your cellulite permanently, but they have the proven qualities to trim down as also control the dimpling of the skin to a very great extent.

Coffee happens to provide one such magic remedy. No, not that cup of hot espresso coffee that you love to drink. Use of coffee in its other forms – coffee powder, instant coffee grinds and coffee ground – has been found to be extremely effective in treating cellulite conditions. The reason for this is the caffeine factor in the coffee, which does the trick. This is the precise reason as to why caffeine is extensively used for preparation of Cellulite creams all over the world.

The Coffee Scrubs

Listed below are three commonly used coffee-therapies that offer excellent results against cellulite problems:

  • The Coffee Grind Therapy. Pick up about a half to one cup of instant coffee grinds when you go for your bath. Take the coffee grinds a little by little in your hand and rub it gently over the affected area in circular motions. Once done, wait for awhile and then rinse the area. This action will tighten up the affected skin area because of the inherent characteristics of caffeine to help constrict the blood vessels. Follow it with a warm bath, which facilitates the caffeine in the coffee to reach the fat cells deep inside your skin.
  • The Coffee Ground Therapy. This is a technique in which you take a quarter cup of warm coffee grounds (i.e., the dregs left after brewing coffee) and mix it with a tablespoon of olive oil. Take the mixture in your hand (preferably with a loofah mitt/glove on) and rub it on the affected area of your skin in circular motions. When the whole lot of the mixture is rubbed in, put a plastic wrap around the massaged area. Leave it that way for about 15 minutes, after which remove the wrap, gently brush off the area and take a warm water shower. This should be done at least twice a week until you get a satisfactory result. One important point for you to remember – do this ground coffee massage on a wet skin to get the maximum benefit.
  • The Coffee Powder Therapy. This is another simple and easy method that does the same kind of magic on your dimpled skin. Just take some coffee powder and blend it with body lotion. Once the mixture is ready, apply it on the cellulite affected area of your skin. Let it dry for some time after which you wash the area with fresh water. Doing this regularly for a prolonged period will help reduce your cellulite to an enormous degree.

There is absolutely no doubt about the fact that the therapies prescribed above are quite effective in combating cellulite conditions. One thing, however, must be ensured – even after your dimpled skin has substantially been repaired, continue repeating the routine at regular intervals to keep your cellulite always under control.
