Cosmetyn – At A Glance

Cosmetyn is an ‘Intense Anti-Cellulite Therapy’ which as the name suggests, targets the areas of stubborn fat known as cellulite that the majority of women suffer from. The Cosmetyn website is not particular impressive but does include news media logos and quotes from certain beauty magazines that have mentioned the prevalence of cellulite. As is often the case, this is a rather misleading tactic as the media outlets do not actually mention Cosmetyn by name and are certainly not endorsing the product.

Other parts of the one-page website show three customer testimonials, accompanied by ‘before and after’ photos which, as the disclaimer states, are not those of the actual customers (whose real names are not used anyway). In addition to this, there is no FAQ section and very little in the way of proof that the product worked in clinical studies. There is, however, a lot of information regarding the ordering of Cosmetyn, which is available for a risk-free 1 month supply. As the ‘Terms and Conditions’ state though, anyone ordering the trial is enrolled automatically into the monthly auto-shipping service, whereby they are sent and billed for Cosmetyn every month at a cost of $89.95.

Cosmetyn – Facts

Cosmetyn

Cosmetyn anti-cellulite cream is designed to smooth, firm and decrease fat deposits in the skin without the use of surgery. As most women know, cellulite can normally be seen on the thighs and buttocks, especially when the skin is squeezed, creating a dimpled, ‘orange peel-like’ effect.

It is somewhat confusing as to exactly what the ingredients are in the Cosmetyn formula. The heading states that it uses a Dermaplex-12 Active complex, which includes the anti-oxidants green tea and grape seed extract. However, there is no mention of this elsewhere or in the list of key ingredients used. These ingredients, which include Glaucine, Coenzyme-A, L-Carnitine, Elderberry and caffeine, all work together to reduce water retention in the skin, helping to convert fat to energy and prevent fat cells from forming. Caffeine in particular is a popular cellulite cream ingredient as it stimulates the skin, increasing the circulation and helping push toxins through the body faster. Unfortunately a full list of ingredients is not provided and neither are the amounts contained in the formula.

No instructions are given for application methods, though it is likely that, as with most cellulite products, it should be applied in circular massaging motions to increase blood flow to the area.

Cosmetyn – Conclusion

Cosmetyn may be a good product but the fact that the company resorts to some questionable marketing and billing tactics is definitely not a good sign. There is not sufficient proof that the product works as well as the company claims and it is unlikely to be a serious alternative to cosmetic surgery. Although there are some effective ingredients in the formula, without knowing the amounts, it is hard to determine how powerful it would be and whether it is really worth the expensive price tag.

Not all cellulite treatments are created equally, and it is important to evaluate the potential of a product prior to purchasing it. A quality cellulite treatment must be formulated from compounds that are capable of actually penetrating deep enough into layers of skin to deliver the active ingredients to the cells that they need to affect in order to create noticeable results. Additionally, the stated active compounds should actually be capable of reducing cellulite; such ingredients should be able to minimize pockets of fat, which should in turn reduce the appearance of cellulite. Finally, a cellulite cream's ingredients must all be of the highest quality and should contain compounds that can work to tighten and smooth skin in order to combat the drying effect of cellulite. Below you'll find some of the top cellulite creams, as well as ratings evaluating how well each of these creams meets these standards of quality.
