Although Katy Perry was already fit, she wanted to look amazing for her wedding. So for the next few months, she set out to not only prepare for her wedding, but also to work on her body as well. According to RadarOnline, Katy was on a strict diet and her workout routing included “5 times a week with celeb trainer Harley Pasternak.” Pasternak announced that Katy’s goal was to “look amazing…always. She works out as often as she can,” even though she is a busy woman.
Katy Perry’s workout routine includes following Pasternak’s Five Factor Fitness Program. This exercise routine is a “five-phase circuit that works each body part for five minutes, alternating between cardio, upper and lower body strength training, and abs to get a kick-ass workout in just 25 minutes.”
The principles behind the Five Factor include:
1. Eat 5 meals a day.
2. Every meal contains 5 key ingredients.
3. Every meal takes only five minutes to prepare.
4. Enjoy one free day each week to take pleasure in guilt free favorite food.
5. Five days of 25 minute workouts a week from the comfort of your own home.
An intense workout that only takes 25 minutes and allows you to eat? No wonder Katy Perry and so many other celebrities can look amazingly fit despite their busy schedules!
Katy Perry Diet
As for diet, Katy Perry has “totally changed her diet around.” When interviewed, she admitted that her favorite things to eat include “barbeque chicken chop at CPK Chinese[and her] beloved double double at In-N-Out Burger,” For her pre-wedding prep, however, she decided to replace all those junk food items with high protein items. Instead of burgers, she eats five small meals a day containing healthy fats, lean proteins, fiber, and non-sugar drinks.
A sample day’s diet would include “an egg white omelette with a bowl of berries, an apple cinnamon smoothie, a chop salad, three–bean BBQ chips and finishing off with a seafood stir fry for dinner.”
This diet may be strict, but it certainly has worked for Katy Perry!
