PeterThomasRoth Kojic Overview
Born of the desire to cure his own skin’s ailments, Peter Thomas Roth, the Hungarian descendant of hotel spa owners, created his own skincare line in 1993. Roth took care to incorporate that family knowledge when developing his skincare products which are based on the healing and soothing qualities of the muds and minerals derived from Hungary’s Thermal Springs. The Peter Thomas Roth skincare collection with its rejuvenating properties consists of over 100 products including moisturizers, cleansers, and treatments that address anti-aging, acne, dehydration, and sun protection. Roth’s repertoire also includes products for hair and body care plus fragrances.
The PeterThomasRoth.com website in its high impact black color scheme, blue accents and white block-lettering exudes a strong presence without the pretense. The menu bar across the top introduces visitors to the company, its founder, the terms of service and its retail associations. The left side displays links to the company’s various product categories while the right side captions the feature product displayed in the center. The product pages provide a treasure of details and a full ingredient list. Unfortunately, clinical research, result photos nor testimonials are provided.
PeterThomasRoth Kojic - Product Description
The PTR site has a product to address every skin need and concern including shaving products. Unlike many other skincare lines, the big-bottled products appear to be unisex. With flavorful ingredients such as pumpkin seed and cucumber and ranging in price from $8 for sunscreen on a string to $150 for a facial firming and lifting cream, PTR products have a price point that hits every wallet. While the website is packed with more than enough products to constitute an entire skincare line, it is evident from a web search that the products listed are not all the company’s offerings.
For example, one product left out of the website’s brightening category is Roth’s Clinical Skin Care AHA/Kojic Under Eye Brightener. Available through third-party retailers, the product which is said to fade fine lines wrinkles, uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation, contains Hyaluronic , Glycolic, Kojic, Azelaic and Lactic acid, as well phospholipids, and Vitamins A &E among many other ingredients. Priced between $28 and $52, third-party reviews were hard to find. The reason may be the suggestion that it is being discontinued, a potential fact that explains why it was omitted from Roth’s website. The only review found expressed complete satisfaction with the Under Eye Brightener and all Peter Thomas Roth products.

PeterThomasRoth Kojic - The Bottomline
Despite the lack of qualitative and quantitative research results, the biggest endorsement for Peter Thomas Roth products is Peter Thomas Roth himself. With his name plastered on every bottle and tube plus his youthful wrinkle-less face on the company profile page, confidence is garnered and serious consideration is warranted. Haling as a first generation Hungarian American, Roth appears to understand quality skincare doesn’t discriminate and doesn’t have to come in tiny packages with big price tags.
