Skin is the most prominent part of body that is mostly exposed. We mostly enjoy being in outer environment. The outer environment comprises all types of weather conditions like dry, humid, rainy and summer. Sometimes there also occurs fluctuation in weather conditions. Therefore skin has to tolerate any type condition. Depending on the skin resistant power, there occur skin problems. Skin problems like drying, itching, flaky skin and accompanying redness.


On the basis of skin type we can define skin problems. Dry, oily skin is most natural and widely defined skin types. Some have sensitive skin that has to taken special care as these can have adverse effects on using products containing strong and allergic substances.

In case of sensitive, the skin is slightly thinner then normal skin and hence become sensitive to cold and hot weather. This type of skin need to be protected against sun as these is prone to sunburns and windburns. The allergic reactions are common problems in this type of skin. Temperature fluctuation, use of deodorants and skin cosmetics can result into itching and irritation effect. For such sensitive type of skin you need to take certain precautions.

Select correct type of makeup

Always remember while choosing makeup, moisturizers or sunscreen, just clarify that it is non-allergic and without fragrance. Prefer water base products and oil free cosmetics. Before purchasing any skin product always experiment it on your wrist for any sort of reaction.

Skip off too much makeup coverage

While doing makeup, use light and natural makeup and avoid over pasting of makeup. Use low amount of makeup that will be easy to remove without more efforts.

Too much use of face wash

Face wash is used to clean the dirt and debris of your but its excessive use may cause have adverse effect on skin. For sensitive skin type use mild soap free cleansers that to twice a day is sufficient to keep face skin.

Astringent’s unnecessary use

Astringent should be applied only on oily skin area. Otherwise it may cause redness and may also lead to irritation.

Sunscreen of adequate SPF

Sensitive skin is more prone to sunburns and windburns and therefore skin should be protected from intense sunrays. Use of oil based gel and sunscreen of adequate SPF of minimum 15 can form a protective covering against sunrays.

Cleansers and moisturizers containing salicylic acid

The cleansers containing salicylic acid can help in exfoliating skin pores. Even in moisturizers this compound plays a beneficial role for sensitive skin.

On the other hand, another rare skin type is dry skin. It is also quite common in many but rare as compared to oily skin. Oily skin is believed is believed to be a major skin type and is related to most of common skin problem like acne, scars, pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads.

Dry skin is due to lower level of sebum present in skin and can define in the category of sensitive skin. This type of skin has low capacity to hold moisture and hence it appears with patches. This type of skin after washing experience stretching, and fine lines appear unless you feed it with appropriate moisturizer.

Dry skin is sensitive to wind, rapid alteration in temperature and air conditioning. This makes skin flaky and stretched. This type of skin is more prone to wrinkle formation and also patched marked appear.

Applying lubrication

It has seen that for dry skin the oil glands is supply insufficient lubrication to skin that leads to dehydrated skin.

Genetic responsible

This skin type can also be genetically related and hence can be carried from generation to generation.

Inadequate diet plans

Diet deficient in vitamin A and B also causes dry skin.

However, these types of skin are rarely observed. But these need to take careful care to avoid future skin problem.
