Women Consulting Doctor
You should know your body inside and out. You should also be aware of sexual health symptoms for women that shouldn’t be ignored. One or more symptoms can mean that you have a serious health problem. Here are some of these symptoms that you should watch out for:

Irregular Bleeding

If you’re menstrual cycle is not normal, you need to consult a doctor. You might need medication in order to correct the problem. Even women who take birth control pills may experience a little bleeding between periods. The best thing to do is to inform your doctor because this can also be an indicator of other problems. This is one of the sexual health symptoms for women that should never be ignored.

Pelvic Pain

A little pelvic pain during your period is normal. It is also a normal part of the ovulation process. However, when you experience this symptom for extended periods, you need to see your doctor. It can be a sign of pelvic inflammation disease, uterine fibroids or a number of other conditions. This is one of the most common sexual health symptoms for women that are usually ignored.

Abnormal Vaginal Discharge

When you see something that you haven’t seen before or something that is quite different from what you usually see, you need to inform your doctor. This can be a symptom of several problems such as bacterial or yeast infection.

Itching, Burning, Strong Smell

Itching can happen even when you’re healthy. This can be caused by several things such as a strong soap, detergent used on your underwear, lubricants or tight clothes. If the itching is more than normal, you might have some kind of infection. If it is accompanied by white spots then you really need to consult your doctor. Burning and a strong smell are also indicators that there might be something wrong and you need to see your doctor.

Vaginal Dryness

This normally comes with age and occurs during menopause. The feeling is simply unbearable usually leading to itching and burning. However, there are many products for this problem in the market. If these products don’t work then you need to see your doctor.

Lumps or Sores

These can occur anywhere in the body. As soon as you find lumps or sores in your genital area, you need to be examined. Although these are usually harmless inconveniences, these can also be cancerous or symptoms for serious conditions.

Summary

Although it would be more convenient to ignore these sexual health symptoms for women because of embarrassment, this shouldn’t be the case because there is always a possibility that it is just a symptom of a serious or even fatal health condition.
