Angelina Jolie to Make Her First Post-Mastectomy Appearance at World War Z Premiere
The latest news reports, Angelina Jolie is set to make her first public appearance after announcing double mastectomy. Jolie expressed her health-condition recently to New York Times. Sources say that she’s to step out with Brad Pitt for his “World War Z” premiere in London.
Lately, Angelina learnt that she had BRCA1 gene which had higher health-risk. According to medical fraternity, if you have this faulty gene; it poses 50% risk to develop breast cancer and ovarian cancer.
But this was quite higher in Jolie; it was about 87% to develop breast cancer and 50% of ovarian cancer. She bravely decided to undergo double mastectomy and was applauded for her heroic decision.
Supportive and Loving Brad Pitt
Pitt was always beside her side and hailed him for his rock-solid support during this challenging condition. Jolie praised him for his tremendous support while she has undergone series of procedures. He was always by her side at Pink Lotus Breast Center where she was treated and undergone surgeries. The 37 year old is planning to remove her ovaries hoping to dodge ovarian cancer.
Now she’s ready to back Pitt at the British launch of film World War Z.
The actress lost her mother, Marcheline Bertrand to ovarian cancer in 2007. Debbie martin, Jolie’s aunt also passed away after losing battle to breast cancer. Her funeral will be on Sunday; as reported from sources.
Ron Martin, husband of Debbie told that Angelina will be in London and won’t be able to attend her aunt’s funeral. But she will be still in touch with them and other members of family.
