With the beginning of winter, skin starts losing moisture and becomes dry and dull. The skin becomes chapped and cracks start becoming appearing in the skin texture. Especially the skin of hands and feet are more affected as these are more exposed to outside environment.

Some simple home remedies that will help you to overcome winter skin problems are as follows:

Prepare a paste containing ground oatmeal, ground almonds, zinc oxide paste and honey, in addition with one egg yolk. Now apply this paste on your hands and wear gloves. Keep the gloves till overnight and then rinse your hands in morning with cold water and then experience the suppleness that you feel after using it.

Natural hand cream

For whole day you need to keep your hand skin moist. You can use natural brightening cream at home that will help to keep skin moist naturally. Mix wheat germ oil with favorite essential oil and blend it thoroughly. Use early in the morning before going outside and also before going to bed. This will nourish your hands with natural oil and make them moist throughout the day.

For chapped hands

Treat your chapped and dry hands by natural essential substances. Prepare a paste of sandalwood, chamomile or rose essential oils blend it with certain hydrating base oil like hazelnut, avocado or evening primrose.

The best thing you can do is by exfoliating your foot skin by using pumice stones or foot files that will remove the loss and dead skin. After exfoliation pat dry and immediately apply good moisturizer that will soften calluses.

At the time of retiring to bed at night wear pair of socks that will protect it from cold weather. Coat more amount of moisturizer before wearing socks that will help in healing process at the time you sleep.

Soothing the tough foot skin

Provide a soothing effect to your skin by massaging emollient cream at night. Give a smooth touch of massage with soft cream addition with hint of menthol or mint that will provide with freshening effect.

As winter makes skin dry and stretchy, you need to just stick to articles of winter clothes that will provide you warmness. Skin cell regenerator complex and rejuvenating day causes the good covering of moisturizer and nourishes the skin from within. The skin rejuvenation makes the skin strong from within and provides a protecting coat to your skin. This will ultimately protect skin from getting damaged with the changing environment.

In winters moisturizing bath proves to be helpful in giving glow to your skin. For this purpose you can prefer oil infused baths rather then hot showers that can give temporary effect.
