Herbal Whitening Cream – Using Natural Beauty Aids

As more and more people look to Nature to find ways to enhance beauty, herbal whitening cream products are becoming far easier to find. Many companies specialize in providing safe and organic skin care products that use natural ingredients to soothe the complexion, reduce pores, and remove uneven skin tone. Some of the most popular natural remedies for whitening the skin often include Vitamin C and/or lemon juice, as the citric acid works to remove the top layer of dead skin cells and will help reduce the pigmentation. In addition, lemon juice can actually lighten the skin when applied regularly.

If you feel that you would like to try to make an herbal whitening cream at home, then look to the tried and true methods of the past. Women have often had to use home-made beauty products before cosmetics were readily available, and some of these remedies have been effective enough to remain in use to this day. One of the most famous methods for whitening the skin involves using buttermilk. By applying pure buttermilk to the skin daily, you can remove freckles, age spots or darkened pigmentation areas. The buttermilk will bleach the skin safely, and is a wonderful remedy for sunburn.

One of the more forgotten methods of skin bleaching involves the use of the herb Tansy and oatmeal. This herbal whitening cream takes some skill and time to administer, but produces some of the most dramatic results. Tansy is a flowering herb grown in many gardens. Boil a large handful of the leaves and leave to steep for several hours, then strain. Then, mix a paste of plain oatmeal with the tansy water and apply to the face. Plaster plain linen on top of the oatmeal mix, and wait for it to dry, and then remove. Repeat for several days.

This treatment will, over time, act much the same way that microdermabrasion does, so you need to avoid direct sunlight during the use of this method, and may need a hypoallergenic moisturizer afterwards. If you prefer something a little less drastic, another good herbal whitening cream mixes egg whites and honey. Apply to the face for ten minutes, and then rinse. This is gentle enough to use daily, and can also be applied to the entire body, and the hair as well for a nice shine. The egg whites reduce inflammation and dark spots, and the honey acts as a natural moisturizer.
