Is Plastic Surgery a Valid Option for Cellulite?
Cellulite is the nemesis of many women in the world. In fact, there aren’t too many women out there who don’t have cellulite. Cellulite is no respecter of persons, and it does not matter if you are young or old, thin or overweight – everyone has or will have the cottage cheese look at some point in their lives, and it is not likely to go away on its own! There are a few ways to help get rid of cellulite, but there is no miracle cure for it. Unfortunately, many people make the mistake of thinking that plastic surgery will take all of their fatty skin away, never to return again. Cellulite will always be a part of our bodies, and while you can diminish the dimpled look of your skin, plastic surgery can’t take it away for good.
There are a few cellulite removal procedures that are listed as plastic surgery, and these include Liposuction, Mesotherapy and Endermologie. There are also a few other ways to reduce the look of cellulite, such as diet, exercise, topical creams and massage. With all of the cheaper cellulite “cures” out there, is expensive plastic surgery a good option for removing cellulite?
Plastic surgery can be very expensive, invasive and risky. Even if it only involves a few injections, you are still putting foreign substances inside your body, and things can go wrong. Some injections actually have some natural substances in them, but not everything in these injections is natural. When you are going in to have your Cellulite removed you usually have to go for a few sessions over a period of months, and in some cases you have to keep going back until you decide you would rather have the cellulite! The initial procedure doesn’t really cost too much, and most people can afford it; it’s the amount of sessions needed that people find too expensive. However, if you only go once or twice, you will not see lasting results and the money paid won’t be worth it.
A lot of people choose plastic surgery because some of the other cellulite remedies just don’t work as well. Some believe that diet and exercise can effectively remove cellulite, while others are firm believers that it does nothing for you. Diet and exercise burns fat and cellulite is fat, but cellulite is shallow fat – fat that forms just under your skin. When your body burns fat, it always burns the deep fat – fat that forms on your bones. Therefore, diet and exercise can’t really work for cellulite. However, there are some exercises that will help to tone your body, leaving a leaner, tighter look that can reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Massages are probably the best cellulite removal technique apart from plastic surgery, because it enhances circulation. Poor circulation can be a cause of cellulite and getting your blood flowing can have positive effect on your cellulite.
If you can afford plastic surgery, and you understand the risks of these procedures and you have a good plastic surgeon, then I would recommend plastic surgery as a remedy for cellulite. If you are nervous about it, or money is tight, try some deep tissue massage before you go with plastic surgery. Massages are a lot cheaper and there is no risk involved!
Cellulite can affect people of all ages and body types and can be notoriously difficult to get rid of. While there are certainly no miracle cures, using specially formulated creams and treatments along with a healthy diet and exercise plan can reduce the appearance of the dimpled skin affected by cellulite. Creams and lotions that contain stimulating ingredients such as caffeine are particularly beneficial as they help move toxins out the body while other natural ingredients are used to condition the skin, giving it a firmer, tighter appearance which further reduces the look of the affected area.
