Ivory White Overview
Many consumers are opting to whiten their teeth in the comfort of their own home these days rather than visiting the dentist. There are certainly a slew of teeth whitening products available on the market, all designed to produce whiter and brighter smiles.
Ivory White is a brand that is only available through the manufacturer’s website. There appear to be two separate sites, one providing slightly more information than the other. Both sites are simple in their design and very user-friendly. The main Ivory White site features a reasonable amount of customer testimonials although they are not shown with before and after shots. The FAQ section is quite short, providing information about the contents of the kit and brief instructions.
Other information on the website shows that the product is manufactured in the U.S.A., unlike many similar products, meaning that the customer need not worry about the levels of safety. Unfortunately, the manufacturers do not provide clinical studies to show how well their product performs, simply stating that tests had been carried out on the major ingredients.
Ivory White – Product Description
Ivory White can help improve the appearance of teeth that have been stained through aging, smoking, coffee drinking or simply due to genetics. A full list of ingredients in the product are not shown, although it is mentioned that Ivory White does contain a solution of Carbamide whitening gel. Unlike some whitening products, this brand also helps to fight cavities with the ingredient Xylitol, a natural sweetener. No amounts are shown for any of the substances in the formula.
There seem to be a few contradictions regarding how soon the consumer will see results, ranging from ‘almost instantly’ to 2-3 weeks. It is not known how often the treatment should be used per day or how long each treatment takes. The Ivory White system uses a tray (or dental dam) that the consumer puts into their mouth, ensuring a good coverage of the teeth. The container is designed so that the solution can be applied with a minimum of air contact, to increase its effectiveness.

Ivory White – The Bottom Line
Whilst this product seems fairly reputable, upon further investigation, it appears that the company has a lot of negativity surrounding them. There are numerous independent consumer complaints about the manufacturers, regarding bad customer service and fraudulent billing practises.
In the case of Ivory White, it would not even be advisable to try the 10 day free trial offer. Not only is it not enough time to fairly judge the product, many consumer complaints concerned the fact that the company automatically sent, and billed for, an additional month supply with the free trial, at a cost of $129.95.
