Nature's Shea ButterNature’s Shea Butter is available in several different formulations but the basic product is the Unrefined Ivory Shea. It can be used for a number of reasons including the prevention of stretch marks that can occur during pregnancy or weight loss. It is said that Shea Butter is rich in Vitamins A and E which makes the skin more supple and elastic, decreasing wrinkles and making the surface less susceptible to stretch marks. Additionally Vitamin A can help reduce the appearance of existing scars and marks.

Although there is no evidence on the website to show exactly how well the product performs in controlled clinical testing, it is known that Shea Butter is a very nourishing ingredient and that used on a regular basis can improve the appearance and texture of the skin. Keeping the skin nourished during pregnancy will certainly decrease the chances of developing stretch marks although it may not be the best product on the mark for fading existing marks.
