Placenta Whitening Cream – What It Can Do For You

Many people seem to be unaware of a beauty product that has been used throughout history: placenta whitening cream. It is created out of the placenta, which is the organ that connects the fetus to the mother’s body during pregnancy. Once the fetus is born, the mother expels the placenta, or afterbirth, and in the animal world, often eats it. The placenta in beauty creams often comes from horses or oceanic creatures, and not humans. The placenta contains many minerals[1] and amino acids[2], which may be why the mothers in the animal world eat the placenta after the birth of their baby.

In the vast international world of cosmetics, the placenta whitening cream is often used to prevent the eruption of darkened skin due to excess pigmentation. The placenta is often found in many whitening creams, as it will lighten the skin and create an even complexion. In addition to producing a whiter complexion, the proteins found in the placenta can help the skin to heal itself faster, and can rejuvenate the production of healthy and new skin cells. Depending upon the manufacturer, the cream may also include other botanicals, such as Aloe Vera or papaya that can help transform your skin.

In addition to the use of placenta whitening cream for beauty purposes, the placenta has often been the source of superstitious belief. However, many of today’s creams use placenta from sheep, so consumers can use these products without worry. The placenta acts as an agent to stimulate the production of skin cells, while at the same time inhibiting the production of melanin, which darkens skin. Placenta is also considered to be one of the finest anti-wrinkle treatments, and many believe that it can remove freckles and age spots as well as moisturize and refresh the skin for a younger appearance.

While it may sound strange to use a placenta whitening cream to improve the complexion of the skin, consider that the placenta is a source for the production of white blood cells, nutrients, and contains many minerals such as iron[3] and protein. These can all be used to help the skin look its very best when used topically over a period of time; placenta cream has been popular for a very long while and shows no signs of losing its popularity. There are many claims that placenta cream can help the skin repair damage, which may explain the continued use of this product.
