Best Red Carpet Looks at Venice Film Festival 2016 You Shouldn’t Miss
One of the three biggest film festivals in the world, the Venice Film Festival, founded in 1932, is the oldest. The two other most well attended are the Film Festivals of Cannes and Berlin.
Here are the best dressed at the 2016 Venice Film Festival:
1. Naomi Watts
Naomi was at the Festival for thered carpetand “The Bleeder” Premiere, where she stars alongside Liev Schreiber. The movie is about the life of heavyweight boxer, Chuck Wepner. Naomi arrived at the red carpet in a sequinned champagne, long chiffon dress, with bronze halter, black velvet belt and floral sequins in gold and blue. She wore it with a semi-metallic deep pink lipstick, black eyeliner and a subtle eye glitter. She was also seen wearing a predominantly yellow Roksanda dress with blue floral prints and clover leaf details, worn with dark brown velvet platform sandals.
2. Dakota Fanning: The actress everybody loved in her roles when she was a little girl plays the lead in a Western genre film, “Brimstone”. On the red carpet, she was seen wearing a sequinned silhouette, spaghetti strapped dress in blue and pink shades with a gold embellished black bow tied to the waist. The dress simply made her one of the most beautiful stars on the red carpet.
3. Emma Stone
The “It Girl” attended the Festival for the premiere of “La La Land”. On the red carpet, she wore a metallic silver ribbed dress, fringed from the neck, down to the assymetrical hems. She wore it with silver ankle strapped shoes, black eyeliners, highlights and a creamy, light reddish brown lipstick. She was also spotted at the festival wearing a green, floral, three-fourth bell sleeved dress cut above the knee, worn with ankle strapped velvet tan pumps.
4. Amy Adams: Amy stars in “Nocturnal Animals” where she plays the wife of a writer, played by Jake Gyllenhaal. The film also premiered at the Festival. She was seen on the red carpet in a Tom Ford metallic gold, assymetrical dress.
5. Scarlett Johansson
She graced the red carpetin a black, off-the-shoulder ball gown with a princess cut collar worn with diamonds on her neck and metallic nude peep toe heels. She was also seen at the festival wearing black, tailored slacks worn with a striped black and white, v-neck, sleeveless blouse. Her film, “Under the Skin,” where she plays the role of an alien disguised as a human, premiered at the Festival.

6. Dakota Johnson: The “50 Shades of Grey” actress was at the Festival for the premiere of “A Bigger Splash”. She arrived at the red carpet in a light mauve long silhouette dress worn with drop earrings, messy pulled up hair, silver ankle sandals and bright red lips. She was also spotted wearing a ribbed, black frock in texturized garment that had large, orangey clover leaf prints worn with dark brown velvet platform shoes.
This year, the festival turned 73 and still continues to attract attention for the films and the stars shining on its red carpet.
