“Anyone can get dressed up and glamorous, but it is how people dress in their days off that are the most intriguing,”so says Alexander Wang. So, with the top fashion capitals completing their runway shows one-by-one this season, here are the trends that have captured our attention.

Let us take the Spring fashion trends from the runways to the streets, shall we? Here are the fashion statements to watch out for and to wear:

1. Fringe

Fringe

From the fringe dresses at the Ralph Lauren show to the sexy booties and utilitarian bags we’ve seen on the runways, it’s time to get this trend on you.

2. Florals

Florals

What else would you expect but a blossoming of all the brightest from nature teeming with life. By the way, this season loves it dainty and nothing but lady. See what Tory Burch has in store and take your inspiration from there.

3. Assymetrical Shoulder Cut Outs

Whether it be a crocheted topper or a full length dress, the most chic way of showing off your collars and shoulders this season is by giving a peep over at one side only.

4. Slitted And Cape Sleeves

Slitted And Cape Sleeves

Ladies, get ready to fly this season! We’re setting aside the usual halters and dramatically slitting our sleeves this season.

5. Foldover Waist

One of the not-so-common styles we’re seeing this fashion season is this. Find them on high-waisted pants, pencil cut skirts or culottes and pair with your pumps for full chic effect.

6. Wrap-Arounds

Whether these be robes, trench coats or dresses, learn to top and tie them up into a bow this season because this trend will be big.

7. Hats

Hats

We’ve seen chic hats worn on the Ralph Lauren runways as well as on many others, including Sonia Rykiel. Get that bonus of adding another layer of protection from the sun’s UV when you wear this accessory.

8. Embroidery

Embroidery

We are loving them on the garments and we totally embrace what Gucci did with the beautiful pumps and booties on its runway. The beauty of these embroidered embellishments is that they are better off created with your own hands. Make it your identity: your fashion statement. Need more creative inspiration? 9. White Footwear

White Footwear

Tory Burch is still embracing those white trainers. This season, we are also seeing beautiful white booties from Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini and white flat gladiator sandals from Louis Vuitton.

10. Pops Of Color

Even the edgy Louis Vuitton had oranges and yellows on its Cruise Collection. We loved the fuschias too but we did freeze at the sight of the artsy dresses from Proensa Schouler.

CONCLUSION

Get you fashion hat on because now is the time to revamp that closet once again. Spring is coming and you don’t want to be late to check out those beautiful blooms.
