Summer Glow – How to Keep Glowing Skin All Year Round?

Everyone dreads that time when summer unexpectedly ends. Aside from not being able to enjoy our summertime clothes, that summer glow is something that most people don’t want to let go of. What a lot of people aren’t aware of is that you can hold on to it all year long. No, we are not talking about dangerous indoor tanning. There are safe tanning products that can be used all throughout the year. There are also other skincare products that can keep your skin’s youthful and radiant glow even as you get older.

One of the secrets of people who have that alluring summer glow all year round is the use of a bronzer. Some products are cakey so you may need to try out a few to find the one that suits your skin type and the look you want. Adding some dimension to your face whether with a bronzer or blush can give you that beautiful radiance most people only get during summertime. Of course, you need to know how to apply it properly and combine with other cosmetics.

Sunless Tanning

First of all, avoid sunless tanning pills since these are unsafe. Fortunately, there are other sunless tanning products that are safe and can give you that summer glow all year round. These are commonly called self-tanners which are sold in topical form. There are creams, lotions and sprays that are applied directly to the skin. Spray-on tanning through a professional is also a good option if you want that tanned look without exposing your skin to the damaging rays of the sun.

Most products use the active ingredient dihydroxyacetone (DHA) which is a color additive that reacts with the dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. It only has a temporary effect, darkening the skin and stimulating a tan. The color gradually wears off in a few days. Remember that these products don’t usually contain sunscreen so you still need to apply sunscreen if you will be outdoors.

Illuminating Products

This is an amazing product that will balance the bronzer especially if you have warm, olive-toned, tan or darker skin. You may also need a little experimentation to find the right product for you but most products are generally good. It will give your face an attractive glow that will set yourself apart from the rest of the crowd. Look for products with Shea butter, Argan oil or other moisturizers and nutrients to keep your skin healthy.

Skin Brighteners

This is best for people who want to maintain or get that youthful glow which usually disappears as one gets older. It is a great way to have radiant skin or eliminate hyperpigmentation problems such as dark spots. Look for products that don’t contain dangerous ingredients like hydroquinone. There are products that use active ingredients which are 100% natural but still highly effective. One such product is called Juvabrite which is an age spot and skin brightening complex that can be used to address hyperpigmentation issues and/or give your skin a healthy, youthful glow.
