Humans have greatly affected the world we live in today. Whereas in pre-industrialization times, the Earth cooled and warmed up based on the play of natural occurences that include volcanic eruptions or earth’s distance from the sun, human activities post-industrialization years up to this day have significantly affected the Earth’s temperature. Scientists at the NASA Earth Observatory are accounting just 0.2 degrees Celsius in the warming of the Earth to natural forces and as much as 0.8 degrees Celsius to human activities, pollution being the biggest culprit.

This is bad news to your health, including your skin health. In fact, we are now experiencing the detrimental effects of more UV radiation reaching the Earth’s surface. Global estimates point to an estimated 200% increase in the number of cases of skin cancer since the 1970s, and the World Health Organization projects, the number will only keep growing by at least 300,000 more people affected with every 10% increase in ozone depletion.
